This beautiful animal is Red-bellied short-necked turtle. It is found in Australia and Papua New Guinea, and in Australia it is highly endangered. These stunning colours are highly pronounced as infants and juveniles, but fade as they age. They reach about ten inches (25cm) in length.

It’s irksome when people wear the same clothes to class every day. We have Kevin with the fat roll on the back of his head who ALWAYS wears a blue sweatshirt and pajama pants. Does he ever wash those clothes and does he sleep in them after being on campus in them all day? No one knows….Ew. Then there’s the guy with the draft-a-date sorority t-shirt that he, assumedly, was a date to. Was that time so amazing that he can’t take it off because he has to be reminded each day? I doubt it. And let’s not forget about the science olympiad chick, who may or may not own another article of clothing at all, because that’s all I ever see her in. They GIVE out free t-shirts around campus. Come on, people, change it up once in a while and prove that you have some modicum of personal hygiene. Rant over.
